About me

I am an accredited psychotherapist based in Timișoara, Romania, working with adults, couples and expatriates in both English and Romanian. I offer both in-person psychotherapy in Timișoara and online sessions for clients living in Romania or abroad.
I have been working in private practice since 2010 through “Szenasi Iosif Cabinet Individual de Psihologie” (PsyTherapy), accredited by the Romanian College of Psychologists under professional code 1TM2167 and license no. 1680 issued on 14/06/2010.
Over the years, much of my work has focused on anxiety, burnout, chronic stress, emotional exhaustion and relationship difficulties.
Many people seek therapy only after stress, anxiety or emotional exhaustion begin affecting concentration, sleep, relationships or daily functioning.
Professional background
My professional training includes a 4-year training in Systemic Family and Couples Psychotherapy, a 4-year training in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy, alongside additional training in Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy and Logotherapy.
Personal psychotherapy, continuous professional development and ongoing supervision have remained an important part of my clinical work throughout the years.
In practice, I work primarily with adults and couples experiencing anxiety, emotional overload, burnout, relationship difficulties, perfectionism, emotional regulation problems and long-standing psychological patterns that become difficult to manage alone.
I also frequently work with expatriates and professionals living or working in highly demanding environments, where chronic stress and emotional strain often become normalized for long periods of time.
How I work
My approach is collaborative, structured and adapted to the individual rather than based on rigid formulas.
Some people come to therapy during periods of acute stress, burnout or anxiety. Others seek help after noticing recurring relationship patterns, emotional avoidance or self-critical thinking that continues repeating despite effort and self-awareness.
Part of the therapeutic process involves understanding how emotional reactions, coping mechanisms and relationship patterns develop and continue over time.
Depending on the person and the context, sessions may involve emotional exploration, cognitive clarification and practical strategies for managing anxiety, stress or relationship difficulties more effectively.
Confidentiality and professional ethics
All sessions are confidential and conducted according to professional ethical standards and applicable regulations regarding psychotherapy practice.
Creating a respectful, safe and professionally grounded therapeutic space is an essential part of the process.
